who we are

The Sekana Group is a boutique consultancy specialising in helping companies to manage risks before they happen. We have over 40 years combined experience working across Europe, Asia , USA and Australia with hands on experience in Corporate Risk, Human Capital Risk, Digital Payment Risk and Business Development Risk in China.

Unlike other consultancies we believe that our fees should be tied to performance and results. All of our Risk Practioners have worked with big consultancies that end up producing reams of paper and glossy reports but with no follow through. The result? A lot of money spent on fees and your business non the wiser.

At Sekana we take a more collaborative approach and use our insights to help your teams to implement our recommendations and monitor the results. We are so confident in our approach that if we do not deliver value that is greater than our fees then you pay nothing.

We offer solutions to complex risks with our Business Shock-Proofing process. From our locations in the UK, USA and Australia and using our years of expertise across a broad variety of companies and sectors we can help you gain a greater understanding of the threats, dangers and risks that may impact your business. Our analysis, modeling, advice and solutions result in a more resilient business, with financial and reputational protection from yourup-skilled, more risk aware team.

Controls introduced to deal with one risk, in themselves sometimes introduce a whole new risk.

Opportunity and risk come in pairs.

- BANGAMBIKI HABYARIMANA, The Great Pearl of Wisdom

Many businesses have to learn the big lessons of poor risk management, because they haven’t learned the small lessons along the way.

Good Risk Management fosters vigilance in times of calm and instils discipline in times of crisis.

What we learn from history is that people don’t learn from history.

Better to have a simple model backed by excellent people than the other way around.

Risk is like fire: If controlled it will help you; if uncontrolled it will rise up and destroy you.

One thing that makes it possible to be an optimist is if you have a contingency plan for when all hell breaks loose.
